The page you use to create or change a user account has had an overhaul, giving it a clearer structure and fixing a lot of usability problems with it.

Changes to how we show status updates (new features and breakages to services)

February 26th, 2013 08:18 AM.   0 comments

We've just released a tweak to the status updates shown on the website dashboard - in the past we had a feed of the What's New? and System Status blogs in seperate sections.  The new system shows you what's changed since you last logged in.  In a lot of cases the updates are brief (after all, we are busy building new features not writing status posts!), but if there's anything you'd like more info about, contact our support team for more info.

Making the Website Manager admin more mobile-friendly

February 12th, 2013 11:55 AM.   0 comments

We've had responsive design available for ages now for our client's websites in the frontend, but we've just added it in the website backend as well.  Its still a work in progress - not everything works perfectly in all smartphones, but its definitely handy if you want to process an order or enquiry on the run.  To try it out, just login to your website on a smartphone.

Multicurrency prices now work with the product import/export

February 11th, 2013 12:16 PM.   0 comments

When you import/export products on sites with multicurrency addon enabled, there is a column for each the price of each item in each currency you trade in - particularly handy for bulk pricing updates, if you choose to set a price for each currency but need to update it from time to time.

New order page no longer experimental

February 8th, 2013 11:54 AM.   0 comments

The new order page is no longer an experimental feature that needs to be turned on, from now on its on by default. Since the order page is so important to our client's businesses the new page is still optional for now - if you've got an order that urgently goes out that might not be the perfect time to learn a new interface.  When viewing an order a box at the top of the page will give you the option of switching to the new version.  Give it a go!

Tweaks to how discounts and tax are stored on orders

February 8th, 2013 11:54 AM.   0 comments

A tweak to how discounts and tax is stored has been released, it has been in testing as an experimental feature for some time now.  Orders made after today will store the source of the discounts that are applied, and show it in the order page - in the past it could be difficult to see why a certain discount had been applied to an order (is it a coupon, promotion, member discount, loyalty points?) and hopefully this fixes that issue. A similar system has been put in place for taxes like GST

This feature was at least partly motivated to make OneSaas and other integration products work better.  OneSaas have updated their Zeald integration to work with these new changes, which makes the experience of automatically syncing orders into Xero, Sassu or Quickbooks much smoother.

Revamp admin user management

In the very top right of the website manager, your current username shows as a link.  If you click it you can modify your account, setup an avatar image that shows alongside your name, logout, or edit the details of the other people who have access to edit your website.  We've also modified the user list and edit pages to be a little more user friendly.

We've added an inventory column to the items section of the ecommerce report

A small tweak to the ecommerce report now lets you see the current inventory of your items (handy to see if stock levels of popular items are running low)

New order page

We've just released an overhaul of the order page that our ecommerce customers use to process orders they receive through their websites.  For now we are releasing this as an experimental feature for you to put to the test and make the final switch when you are ready.
