Why every website needs a strong UVP

You may have heard of the phrase 'elevator pitch' at some stage or another. It's basically a short 30 second pitch about your business idea or proposition. It typically includes who your target market is, what benefit you are offering your customers, a description of your products or services and most importantly, what makes you unique.

A Unique Value Proposition (or UVP) for your website is similar to that - it is a clear statement that communicates exactly what you have to offer your customers and why your customers should do business with you instead of anyone else offering the same goods or services. Without clearly communicating this early on, you are fighting a losing battle because the customer has no reason to stop looking around and do business with you. They need to believe that you are offering something that no one else is.

It is one of the most important aspects of your website and your business – yet many businesses struggle to come up with a strong UVP. Here's our take on why a clear UVP is so important for your conversion rate and how to come up with one for your website.

Further improvements to the Rich Text Editor

Following on from last month's updates of the Rich Text Editor, we've released a new round of changes to the editor software this month. This time round, we've made improvements to the icons so they are easier to read and also made changes to the default table settings. Formatting tables should now be more like it would be in a standard application like MS Word.

We've also fixed a number of bugs – read the full list of improvements here.
