Hi guys,
It has been an eventful few weeks, especially for everyone in Canterbury. We hope that wherever you are, you're safe and starting to recover from the earthquake. Our staff and consultants in Christchurch are safe (thankfully). After spending the last couple of weeks with their families and helping out within their communities, they are now back on board. They are available for you to contact and can help you with any website related queries you might have.

Studies show that nearly 75% of all online carts are abandoned. This means that all the hard work you've done to get them to your site and persuade them to take some action is pretty much wasted because something at the last minute made them doubt their decision.
Therefore, figuring out why this could be happening and fixing the issue could really improve your online results. Luckily, a Customer Experience Management firm conducted a study to identify the main reasons.
Have a read of our article to find out why people abandon carts and also our follow up post on how you can stop this from happening.
Pay per click (PPC) advertising is one of the most cost effective ways to promote your website online. These days everyone "Googles" things online. So being seen in Google's search results on the first couple of pages should be one of your top priorities. For a new website or even for a website that offers a competitive product, this can be tricky, but by using Google Adwords (which is a form of PPC advertising), you can get around it. If you haven't already, have a read of our article on the advantages of PPC.
The first step in setting up a Google Adwords campaign is to identify your target keyword phrases - which we went over in our last newsletter. If you missed out on seeing that, have a read here. Once you have your phrases identified, you can start setting up your Adwords campaign.
For the last few months, we've been very busy here at Zeald redesigning the website reports, which you can access through the back-end of your website. The old reports were looking a little "tired" but more importantly, we've learned a few lessons on how to display this information so it makes more sense.
But not to worry we're not changing everything straight away :-). We're just releasing phase 1 of these changes, which is a redesign of the 'Traffic' report tab. These changes will be displayed alongside on a new tab called 'Visitors' - so you can compare both versions next to each other, see the changes we are making and tell us what you think.
Read the full post on these changes.
We hope you enjoyed the read. If you have any feedback for us, don't forget to post it in our Online Help - we love hearing from you! If you have any friends or colleagues who could use our help, please do let us know, and don't forget to check out our Friends & Supporters Club!
Thanks and hope you have a great week,
