Home page

Your home page is probably your most important page. The majority of visitors to your site will view the homepage first, so it is important that your homepage is an easy to use porthole to all the information on your site, can capture peoples attention and will also load quickly.

The Homepage is quite a unique page in that it is created and edited in a different way to all other pages on your website.

The menu in the left hand column and along the top of your site will automatically be generated by the system as you add sub level pages or if you have an online catalogue by adding items to your site.
 

How to edit the homepage

1. Click on the Content tab  in the black administration header of your website

2. Then look in the very top right hand side of your screen and you'll see the View website tab. Click that 
   then when you're on the home page, at the top centre, click on Show editing tools

3. This will display your homepage with lots of little pencil and plus icons. In the website edit mode your homepage is made up of lots of small components, each component has its own set of pencil and plus icons sitting just above it. How to add & edit Homepage Meta Data

1. Go to the Content Tab

2. Click the + next to Standard Pages

3. Click on Home Page

4. Click Edit Page
   

5. You can enter Meta Data under the Search Engines section.
