Google Reviews Collection
This new Zest feature makes it easy for you to load Google Reviews into your website and make them look smart and consistent with the Google review design. You can load the reviews manually, which means that you can pick and choose the reviews you feel promote the most important aspects of your service.
Adding a Google Review
To add a Google Review, start by logging in to the backend of your Zest website using your website username and password. Once you’re logged in, you will be directed to your Zest website dashboard. Next, on the menu section, click “Content”.
From there, click “collection”. This will direct you to a page where you can find catalogs of different content collections available on your website. Locate the “Google Review” catalog, and then click “Edit Google Review”
To add a new customer review, click “Add Google Review”
You will be directed to a page where you can add all the details of the customer review you would like to load to your website. Start adding the star rating, review date, and the category the review falls under.
If the review you’re trying to load into your website does not fall under any category, feel free to leave the section blank. Next, under the Review section, write down the customer review.
You can keep the reviews simple by pulling a few sentences from your customer's actual review on Google, as they will have their own clean format on the front end. However, if you’d like to elaborate on the review you’re wanting to load on your website, you can add images by clicking the
icon on the right-hand side of the Markdown Editor.
To upload a new image, click the blue Upload button.
Next, select the image you’d like to upload from your computer. Once it's ready, hit “Select”.
Since we’re using the Markdown Editor, you’ll notice that the image you’ve uploaded will appear as a link on the review section.
To check what it looks like on the front end, click the “Preview” button right beside the Markdown Editor. Depending on the size of the image you uploaded, the image should look something like this.
You can also supply links by clicking the
icon located right next to the image icon. Here’s what a review with a link looks like on the backend.
To see what it looks like on the front end, click “Preview”.
Next, add the name and image thumbnail of the person who left the review. If you'd like a unique URL for this Google Review entry, you may also create a special Slug just under the thumbnail section.
Once everything has been added and set, click
